KNX

ETS Software loads into the commissioning tool, the Parameter Handbook sets button functions, the Installation Manual covers wiring. ETS files are button-count specific, so take one per switch type on the project.

ETS Software

Product database files (.knxprod) for ETS, one per button count. There is no 3-button file. Three-button switches take the 4-button file with one channel unconfigured.

Casambi

Configured in the Casambi app. There is no commissioning software. Battery runs on a coin cell. Mains is continuously powered and repeats the mesh.

Mains is built for US and EU voltages, so it runs on 120V. It carries no UL certificate, so the AHJ has to accept it. Battery cannot drive a backlight, and NEC 210.70 restricts battery switches at code-required switching locations.

A momentary dry contact. All logic sits in the control processor, so there is nothing to program at the switch. Two families below: 24V with an LED, and 24-250V without.

White or amber. Wiring is identical, the color is a factory option, and the processor drives the LED state. For a button with no visible LED, leave the LEDs unwired. It stays UL listed.

Runs as a dry contact into a control system, or standalone on one impulse relay per circuit in the wall box, an Eltako ES61-UC for example. Several buttons can share a relay for multi-location switching.

A 6A mechanical toggle or push button, 24 to 250V, switching the load directly or feeding a relay as a dry contact. There is no KNX or Casambi variant; for KNX, pair it with a third-party dry-contact input. The standard neon is a 250V part. A 120V neon is made to order, 12 to 20 weeks.
