What it works with.

Every Lithoss technology sold in the US, the system it speaks to, and what it needs at the wall. Read it by control system, or by collection, below.

By control system.

By collection.

The Original frame, in five technologies.

  • 24V with LEDDry contact systems, and Casambi through a contact closure input module. 35mm minimum box depth.Manual →
  • 24 to 250V push buttonThe same systems, or standalone on one impulse relay per circuit. 35mm minimum box depth.Manual →
  • KNXAny KNX system. Carries a temperature sensor. 40mm minimum box depth.Manual →
  • CasambiMains, which repeats the mesh, or battery. 40mm minimum box depth.Manual →

Small buttons, up to six in one frame.

  • 24V with LEDSix buttons is six inputs. White or amber up to four buttons, warm white above. 35mm minimum box depth.Manual →
  • 24 to 250V push buttonThe same systems, or standalone on one impulse relay per circuit. 35mm minimum box depth.Manual →
  • KNXAny KNX system. RGB and the temperature sensor on the six button and the two button centre. 40mm minimum box depth.Manual →
  • CasambiBattery or line voltage. 40mm minimum box depth.Manual →

Mechanical toggles and push buttons. No KNX or Casambi variant.

  • 250V toggleSwitches the load. Two way, cross, or shutter. Neon optional on every function except cross.
  • 24 to 250V push buttonThe same dry contact as the Select push button. Neon optional.

The dimming sits in the device, at the wall.

  • KNXAny KNX system. Three potential free contact inputs. 45mm minimum box depth, the deepest in the range.Manual →

Technology.

Dry contact control systems

Crestron, Control4, Lutron HomeWorks, Savant, Vantage, RTI, Loxone Tree, and anything else with a contact input.

Inputs

One per button. A four button keypad is four inputs.

Backlight

Driven by the control system. White or amber.

Power

24Vdc Class 2 supply for the LEDs. The keypad does not power them.

At the box

The contact input interface sits in the rack or in the box, whichever is specified. 35mm minimum depth, 65mm recommended.

Collections

Select and Pixel on 24V with LED. Select, Pixel and Cockpit on the 24 to 250V push button.

KNX

Native on Select, Pixel and Dimmer. A KNX IP gateway carries any of them into Crestron, Lutron, Savant or Loxone.

Interface

None. The chip is on the PCB, so one device per location.

Bus

29V SELV, NEC Class 2.

Commissioning

Ships unaddressed on factory defaults. Addressed in ETS. Database files are button count specific.

At the box

40mm minimum depth, and 45mm on the Dimmer, where the dimming hardware sits inside the device.

Collections

Select, Pixel and Dimmer. Cockpit is not made in KNX.

Casambi

Bluetooth mesh, and the only wireless Lithoss. It is its own network, not a radio into another system.

Wallbox

Not steel. Lithoss do not recommend metal casings, which may interfere with the signal and cause connectivity issues.

Gateway

None for local operation.

Range

Minimum 20m in a standard network, 70m in long range mode. Long range is set when the network is created and cannot be changed afterwards.

Backlight

No native Casambi switch is backlit. A 24V with LED keypad on a contact closure input module is the only route that keeps it.

At the box

40mm minimum depth. Battery needs no wiring at all.

Collections

Select, Pixel and Dimmer.

Standalone

No control system and no network.

Relay

One impulse relay per circuit, not per switch. Buttons on the same load share a relay.

Contact

9W pilot contact, so it drives the coil only. A low voltage coil keeps the install NEC Class 2; a 120V coil makes it a line voltage device.

At the box

35mm minimum depth. The relay sits in a junction box or at the panel.

Collections

Cockpit on the 250V toggle. Select, Pixel and Cockpit on the push button.

Lithoss recommend 65mm depth where the box allows, to leave room to work the cables. From the Lithoss Cockpit installation manual, article 101054 v10.
